Since 2005 Pat has been the Managing Director of LNG Worldwide Ltd, a consulting company offering advice, support and training in all areas of the LNG commercial supply chain. Previous to that Pat has 24 years of experience with the Shell Group of companies both in oil and natural gas. Her direct experience in LNG is in the area of developing and implementing LNG strategies for new market entrants and companies seeking to strengthen partnerships with LNG producers. This includes working in all commercial areas across the LNG value chain. Her work has included working with governments, NOCs, IOCs and utilities and she has advised on structuring and optimising LNG supply portfolios. Coupled with her commercial experience is also a strong grounding in fundamental market analysis and strategic planning.

After graduating in Mechanical Engineering in 1999 from the Politecnico di Milano, he fulfilled his military service as an Officer in the Italian Army.
In 2000 he was awarded with a scholarship as a Ph.D. candidate at the Department of Energy of the Politecnico di Milano, where he was involved in research projects and teaching activities.
In 2001 he joined McKinsey.
He obtained a Master in Business Administration from Columbia University, New York, in 2005.
After a short experience in Citgroup in New York, he continued his career in McKinsey, mostly dealing with projects in the Oil & Gas and Banking & Insurance sectors.
In 2007 he joined Eni in the Office of the CEO supporting the Top Management for corporate strategy and group-level projects.
Between 2008 and 2016 he worked in the Gas & Power Business Unit of Eni, first as Senior Vice President for International Sales and later as Executive Vice President for International Markets and LNG Activities.
In November 2016 he became Executive Vice President for Portfolio Strategy and Long Term Gas Negotiations in the newly established Midstream business of Eni with the responsibility to oversee the gas supply portfolio management and the relationships with long term gas suppliers.
In February 2018 he was appointed Executive Vice President Business Unit Gas. In this role he managed the entire midstream wholesale gas value chain, including supply and trading activities. In parallel he was also appointed EVP Trading & Origination in Eni Trading & Shipping S.p.A. (the fully owned subsidiary of Eni S.p.A. in charge of all the trading operations within the group).
In April 2019 he was appointed Chief Gas & Lng Marketing and Power Officer.
He is the Chairman and CEO in charge of Gas, Lng and Power activities of Eni Trading & Shipping S.p.A.
He is a member of the Board of Directors in Union Fenosa Gas, a JV between Eni and Naturgy, and in BlueStream, a JV between Eni and Gazprom.

Mr. Masato Sasaki has served as Director for Oil and Gas of the Agency for Natural Gas Resources and Energy at the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) and is in charge of policies for upstream development and procurement of oil and gas for Japan. He has a long carrier in energy affairs at METI as Director of Nuclear Facilities Development and Public Relations Division, and as Director of Energy Strategy Office.
He obtained his LLB from the University of Tokyo (1995).

Qatargas
Alaa Abujbara is the Chief Commercial & Shipping Officer of Qatargas.
With over 23 years of experience in the energy industry, Alaa has been a key member of the Qatargas Management Leadership Team since 2011.
In his current role he is responsible for marketing, customer relationship management, the network of international offices that cover Korea, China, Japan and South East Asia, production planning, shipping and contract administration across 77 million tonnes of annual LNG production, helium, other associated products and domestic gas for Qatar.
In 2006 he assumed the position of Marketing Director of Qatargas, in which he led the global long and short term LNG Marketing activities and managed the overseas offices in Japan and China.
Alaa started his career with Qatargas in 1996 and held various positions of increasing responsibility. He was promoted to the position of Public Relations Manager in 1998 and then to General Manager of Japan Liaison Office in 2003, based in Nagoya, Japan.
Currently, he serves as a member of the Board of Directors of South Hook LNG Terminal Company Ltd. in the UK.
Alaa holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Business Administration from Pierce University, Tacoma, Washington, USA.

Cheniere Marketing
Mr Bensaude is in charge of LNG Commercial Operations and Portfolio Management for Cheniere and sits on the Sabine Pass Liquefaction board of directors. He has more than 25 years of experience in the energy, oil and natural gas trading and marketing business. Prior to joining Cheniere, Mr. Bensaude served as Head of Global LNG at EDF Trading where he set up and ran the LNG trading and marketing department. Prior to EDF Trading, Mr. Bensaude was an Associate at Booz Allen & Hamilton in the Energy Practice, working on a variety of gas & power assignments. Mr. Bensaude started his career in energy as a trader of middle distillates for Total and previously served as the representative for the French bank, Société Générale, in Canton, PR of China. He held the position of Vice-Chairman of the European Federation of Energy Traders Gas Committee while at EDF Trading. He holds an MBA from ESSEC, business school in France, and studied Mandarin at Paris 7 Jussieu.

Tom Earl is the Chief Commercial Officer of VG LNG Marketing, LLC. Tom previously served as Vice President at the international oil company Total, focusing on the development of its global LNG business.
After graduating from City University in London with a degree in Engineering, Tom joined Total’s newly formed gas marketing and trading team in 1998. After various responsibilities within the trading division of the newly combined Total, Elf and Petrofina operations, he managed the natural gas option desk and gas trading desk. Tom successfully led significant commercial negotiations on long-term gas and LNG contracts in countries such as Russia, Norway and Qatar.
In 2006, Tom was appointed Head of Electricity Trading at Total where he led a significant expansion into newly opened power markets across Europe. In 2011, Tom moved to Houston, where he was appointed as head of Total’s North America commodity trading business, including its LNG, gas, power, coal, petcoke and LPG operations. Tom also represented Total in its US LNG liquefaction transactions from 2012 to 2015.
In 2015, Tom was appointed Vice President of Development for Total’s global LNG activities. Tom led Total’s most recent and highly regarded global expansion into new LNG markets. This work has included innovative new LNG terminal projects and new downstream asset transactions across the world.

Mr Frédéric Barnaud is the Group Chief Executive Officer of Pavilion Energy.
Mr Barnaud has more than 25 years of experience in the oil and gas sector where he worked for major energy companies in various senior roles, which include the establishment and leadership of commercial, trading and shipping businesses in global energy markets. He is a regular keynote speaker and panelist at most international energy conferences.
He was previously a member of the Gazprom Marketing & Trading Group (Gazprom M&T) Executive Committee and its Chief Commercial Officer managing the global LNG, Oil/LPG and Shipping business units. Between 2008 and 2017, Mr Barnaud successfully positioned Gazprom M&T as a significant player of the global LNG markets, where he built and led a first-class commercial, operational and trading platform. He promoted Gazprom M&T’s presence in Singapore as early as 2009 and was the first chairman of the board of Gazprom Marketing & Trading Singapore Pte Ltd.

Following his studies which commenced with a bachelor’s degree in geology from Newcastle University in 1979 and then a petroleum geology master’s degree from Imperial College London in 1983, Martin was employed by BG Group plc and its predecessor companies, retiring after 30 years in February 2014 as Chief Operating Officer and a member of the board of directors.
During his international career, Martin has conducted business in over 40 countries, and has lived in Trinidad and Tobago, Singapore, the Philippines and the USA.
He has established a strong external reputation in the international gas business and is largely credited with being the key architect of BG Group’s world class LNG business. In recognition of this, in 2011 he was the first recipient of the CWC LNG executive of the year award.
He was previously a non-executive director of Severn Trent plc, an integrated water and environmental company, a former director of SIGTTO, the international organization representing gas tanker and gas terminal operators worldwide, and a former GIIGNL regional vice-president for the Americas. In January 2014, he was appointed as a non-executive director of BUPA, an international healthcare group. In June 2014, he was appointed a non-executive director of CCC Energy. In January 2015, he was appointed as the chairman of TPH International. In June 2016, he was appointed as Senior Advisor for Miro Advisors.
Martin sits on the National Petroleum Council of the United States and is a Fellow of the Geological Society of London. He sits on the Development Committee of the Royal Opera House of London.

Mr. Jeong Joon Yu is President & CEO of SK E&S and President of SK Group’s Energy & Chemicals Committee.
Having served as Chairman of Korea Independent Power Producer Association from 2014 to 2015 and Chairman of Korea District Energy Association from 2016 to 2017, Mr. Yu has been contributing to development of the Korean energy business.
He has been leading the LNG business of SK Group essentially. To cover the global market, he has expanded significantly the company’s city gas business that used to only focus on the Korean market, completing the LNG value chain of the upstream, the midstream and the downstream.

Hiroki Sato is managing executive officer of JERA Co., Inc. and senior operating officer of its Business Development Department. He also serves as non-executive CEO of JERA Americas.
Prior to assuming his current positions in April 2019, as JERA’s senior executive vice president and chief fuel transaction officer from July 2016, Mr. Sato was involved in all of the company’s LNG procurement and sales activities, including spot procurement, as the world’s largest buyer of LNG (35 million tons/year). Mr Darshan Hiranandani leads H-Energy – the energy venture of the Hiranandani Group – one of India’s largest residential developers. He holds a Masters degree with a major in Entrepreneurship and Finance from the Rochester Institute of Technology, USA. Under his able leadership the Company has ventured into LNG regas terminals and natural gas pipeline projects in India. The Company also plans to develop an LNG liquefaction project and crude oil infrastructure in Canada.
Mr Darshan started his professional career pioneering the development of 23 Marina, a 90 storey, 400m residential tower in Dubai – the world’s 3rd largest residential tower – which generated more than US$250 Million in revenues. As part of the Board of Directors of the Hiranandani Group, Mr Darshan’s achievements also include the establishment of the Dr. L.H. Hiranandani Hospital, which won the coveted Ramakrishna Bajaj Award for the best hospital in India.

Steve was involved in building and optimizing BG’s LNG business since joining the company in 2002 in roles in the UK, USA and Singapore.

Mark Gyetvay is the CFO and Deputy Chairman of the Management Board at NOVATEK. Harry Huang has over 20 years’ experience in the European energy industry. He is currently the Head of Gas, Power & Derivatives Trading for PetroChina International (London) Co. Ltd. In this role, he is responsible for the company’s trading in all European physical gas hubs. Prior to joining PetroChina in 2013, Harry spent over 10 years with Statoil and held various positions in trading and structuring, including setting up their flexibility and options trading desk. His earlier career was with National Power PLC in the UK and TXU Europe Energy Trading in Switzerland where he had roles ranging from project management, analysis and risk management. Harry holds a bachelor’s degree from Tsinghua University in Beijing and a PhD from Imperial College in London.

Graeme is the Manager of Poten’s LNG & gas consulting team in London, with 17 years of in-depth experience of consultancy to the various elements of the LNG sector, from liquefaction through to regasification terminal development and end user markets. Since joining Poten in 2008, Graeme has provided commercial advice on a range of assignments for companies along the LNG supply chain, including LNG buyers, project sponsors, investors, lenders and government agencies. Such advice includes gas / LNG markets & pricing, project development support, in-depth financial modelling, LNG procurement and sales approaches, contractual terms and negotiation support, and reviews of LNG market participants. Graeme is also highly experienced in undertaking both commercial and technical due diligence on projects for both potential lenders and investors. He holds a BEng Hons. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Edinburgh.

Oxford Institute for Energy Studies
Dr James Henderson is Director of the Natural Gas Programme at the Oxford Institute for Energy Studies (OIES) and he has been writing for and working with the Institute since 2010. He produces research for both the Gas and Oil Programmes covering Russia and CIS issues as well as global energy matters that affect the region. He is a Visiting Professor at Masaryk University in the Czech Republic and has lectured on energy economics and security of supply at a number of universities in Europe and the US. He has worked in the oil sector for US company Amerada Hess, as well as spending time as a consultant and investment banker. He obtained a PhD in Social Sciences from London University in 2010. With OIES he initially published a monograph on “Non-Gazprom Gas Producers in Russia” before contributing numerous working papers on the Russia oil and gas sectors and their connection with the global energy economy. In particular he co-edited the 2014 book entitled “The Russian Gas Matrix: How Markets are Driving Change” and has more recently published papers on the future of Russian oil production, tight oil in Russia, Arctic oil, East Siberia’s hydrocarbon export potential, Russia’s gas export strategy, Russian LNG and Russia’s energy relations with China. He has also published a book on “International Partnership in Russia” (Palgrave Macmillan) and is currently writing a book on the history of Rosneft for Columbia University Press and a book on the evolution of the Russian gas market with the Fridtjof Nansen Institute in Oslo.

David Ledesma is an independent gas and LNG consultant with 20 years’ LNG experience gained through the development of LNG projects in Asia and the Middle East. David provides commercial, financing and strategic support to national and international energy companies globally. He also gives commercial training courses on LNG in the UK and overseas, writes on gas and LNG and presents regularly at conferences. David was appointed a non-executive Director of Pavilion Energy in 2013, a member of the Energy Advisory Committee of JERA in August 2017 and is also a Chairman of the Natural Gas Programme, Oxford Institute for Energy Studies.
