Jason Bennett is the Department Chair of the Global Projects department at Baker Botts and concentrates on project development, oil and gas projects and transactions, project finance and international business transactions and investments. Jason has extensive current experience with LNG projects, including assisting clients with the development, construction and launch of greenfield liquefaction projects and related upstream developments, regasification facility projects, LNG shipping matters and the structuring of LNG trading platforms and investments. He also assists clients with development and structuring of joint venture, joint marketing, and joint operating agreements, offtake and balancing arrangements and with acquisitions and divestitures of interests in LNG, oil and natural gas, pipeline and non-conventional energy projects. He holds a BA (1993) from the University of Texas, Austin, and a JD with honors (1999) from Georgetown University Law Center.
David Jetter is a Global Projects Partner at Baker Botts LLP. David represents clients on energy project development and transactions. Clients rely on David's in-depth experience on LNG projects, including liquefaction, shipping, regasification, LNG-to-power and small-scale LNG, to provide them with practical solutions to structuring and negotiating their LNG projects and transactions. David is recognized for Projects: LNG by Chambers USA, 2018 & 2019 (Band 2). David earned his B.S.M.E. from Grove City College and his J.D. from Duke University School of Law.
Rob Butler advises clients on a wide range of projects and transactions in the energy and infrastructure sectors, with a particular focus on LNG. Rob has advised on the structuring of both liquefaction and regasification projects, including with respect to common facilities arrangements. Rob has substantial experience with negotiating and drafting commercial agreements associated with LNG projects and transactions, including LNG sale and purchase agreements, master LNG sale and purchase agreements, LNG swaps and options, gas sale and purchase agreements, LNG terminal use agreements, joint venture agreements, time charter parties, asset sales and purchases, and corporate acquisitions, disposals and financings.
