Carlos Gomes da Silva was born in Porto, Portugal and is 50 years old. He has been a member of Galp's Board of Directors since 2007 and vice-president and president of the Executive Committee since April 2015.
He is a professional with 27 years of experience in different industries, in particular oil & gas. He joined Galp Energia/Petrogal early in the 1990's, where he played several managerial roles leading the areas of refining operations, supply & trading, planning & control and strategy.
From 2001, and for six years, he served in the beverages industry (at Unicer, a Carlsberg group company) as Head of M&A Strategy and subsequently as Executive Director (for the supply chain, retail and human resources). He returned to the oil & gas industry in 2007 to serve as Board Member in Galp Energia, having served in several executive roles since 2008 as Executive Director namely for marketing oil, gas & power, trading oil & gas and corporate divisions (procurement, marketing, human resources, legal, corporate governance and compliance).
Carlos holds a Degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science by the School of Engineering of the Porto University and an MBA by ESADE/IEP (Barcelona).

Mr. Nohata has been working for Tokyo Gas for more than 30 years since joining in 1984. Through his career with the company, he has engaged in various fields such as overseas business development, infrastructure development, energy sales & service planning, energy solution business, LNG procurement and power business, as well as experiencing as President & CEO of Tokyo Gas Engineering Solution, subsidiary of Tokyo Gas Co.Ltd., specializing in engineering business.
He holds a Bachelor and Master of Mechanical Sciences and Engineering from Tokyo Institute of Technology.

Hiroki Sato is managing executive officer of JERA Co., Inc. and senior operating officer of its Business Development Department. He also serves as non-executive CEO of JERA Americas.
Prior to assuming his current positions in April 2019, as JERA’s senior executive vice president and chief fuel transaction officer from July 2016, Mr. Sato was involved in all of the company’s LNG procurement and sales activities, including spot procurement, as the world’s largest buyer of LNG (35 million tons/year). In the course of his career, he has devoted his energies to creating business opportunities by leveraging a global networking of connections built through long experience.

Steve is a member of Shell’s Integrated Gas and Shell’s Trading & Supply Leadership Teams with responsibility for Shell’s global LNG, natural gas and power marketing and trading activities. Steve is also responsible for Shell’s natural gas market development activities, Shell’s Integrated Gas strategy and Shell’s gas advocacy efforts.
Prior to the Shell purchase of BG Group, Steve was a member of BG Group’s Corporate Executive Team with responsibility for BG’s global LNG, natural gas and crude oil marketing and trading activities, and BG’s shipping business. Steve was involved in building and optimizing BG’s LNG business since joining the company in 2002 in roles in the UK, USA and Singapore.
Prior to joining BG Group, Steve worked for Mobil and subsequently ExxonMobil, in business development and trading roles in the UK, USA, Singapore, and Qatar.
Steve graduated from Durham University in the UK with a degree in Engineering and Management.

Ahmad Adly Alias is the Vice President of LNG Marketing & Trading in PETRONAS. In this role, he oversees the trading and marketing of LNG in Asia, Europe and the Americas on top of energy commodities trading in the UK and Europe. He is also currently the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of PETRONAS LNG Sdn Bhd (PLSB).
Adly sits on the Board of various PETRONAS subsidiaries namely PETRONAS LNG Ltd (PLL), PETRONAS LNG (UK) LIMITED (PLUK), PETRONAS LNG Sdn Bhd (PLSB), PETRONAS Energy Trading Ltd (PETL) and the MLNG Group of companies.
Adly holds a BSc in Business Administration and an MBA in Corporate Finance & Investment from State University of New York, Buffalo, United States.

Jonty joined BP Oil in 1992, where he performed several roles in operations, trading and refining. In 1998 he took over the business development team looking after the Former Soviet Union, Mediterranean and Africa. During this period, he took on the role of BP nominated director in the setup of a new internet company the Intercontinental Exchange, which is now the world’s third largest exchange.
In 2001 Jonty moved to Vietnam to be the marketing manager for upstream. In this role, he was responsible for negotiating gas sales agreements with the State Oil and Power companies and working with the World Bank to finance new Power stations. Following this, he moved to Angola where he was the commercial manager for BP’s first deep water oil development. Prior to his current role, Jonty was the executive assistant for the head of Integrated Supply & Trading, then Group Strategy, in the corporate centre.
Jonty is currently global head of LNG for BP with a responsibility for the management of upstream contracts in Trinidad, Egypt and North West Shelf, merchant supply from Freeport in the USA and future projects in Coral LNG in Mozambique, Tortue in Mauretania and Senegal and Calcassieu Pass in the USA. The portfolio includes a fleet of ~20 LNG carriers, regas facilities in the USA, UK, Spain and Italy, as well as long term customer contracts globally.
