Frédéric Barnaud
President & Managing Director,
Gazprom Marketing & Trading
Frédéric H. Barnaud was educated at one of France’s elite scientific and business school (Ecole Nationale des Ponts & Chaussées), and at the Institute for Energy Studies of the Oxford University. He further studied financial and commodities markets at Cass Business School, London. Frédéric worked for Total from 1990 until 2008, initially in the Trading & Shipping Division then in the Refining & Marketing Division and finally in the Gas & Power Division to build Total’s LNG portfolio and oversee its LNG Trading & Shipping desk. In 2008, Frédéric joined the Gazprom Marketing & Trading Group and his now the Executive Director who oversees the LNG, Shipping & Logistics and Clean Energy businesses. Frédéric is also Managing Director of Gazprom Global LNG Limited and Board Member of Gazprom Marketing & Trading Singapore Pte Ltd. Frédéric has developed and manages Gazprom’s global LNG trading, commercial and shipping activities. He has been promoting an increasingly active participation of Gazprom in the international LNG markets to complement its traditional European pipeline gas business.
